a writer and a documentary photographer specializing in social
issues, human rights, aid to underdeveloped countries and areas
of conflict. Her work has taken her to different corners of the
world, often to the poorest parts. "I can't solve the problems
with my camera, but I can draw attention to it as well as giving
a voice to people that otherwise may never be heard."
Projects include aids in South Africa, peace talks in Sudan,
Darfur refugees crossing the border to Chad, the poverty among
the nomadic Karamojongs, the war in Northern Uganda and the escape
from Nepal's civil war ravaged countryside. |
