Lokichoggio
is today a busy outpost in northern Kenya that exist by way of
aid for the war victims in Southern Sudan. Most of the major
aid organizations have an office or compound in town. The ICRC's
Lopiding field hospital for war wounded located here is one of
the largest of it's kind in the world and the WFP - world food
program, uses the air base in Lokichoggio to conduct it's food
drops over the border in Sudan. |
